Logo Signs for Community Services
These signs are used to identify motorist services along the highway or within a community where motorists can stop for gas, food and lodging. The signs use company logos or business names to indicate upcoming services along the highway or within a community of under 25,000 people. Community Services Signs are an important part of communicating these services to the travelling public.
Eligibility Criteria
You are eligible for a Community Services Sign if you provide a community service and your business:
- Is open to the general public
- Complies with all municipal, provincial and federal laws regarding health, public safety and business operations
- Maintains washroom facilities as required by health authorities; and provide adequate parking
- Resides within the corporate limit or town boundary of the a community of less than 25,000

Application Process
The application provides a fair and equitable system for local business operators across the province when applying for signs:
- Your application is evaluated using up-to-date operational criteria guidelines
- If you meet the criteria your application is approved within 30 days
- If additional information is required, you will be notified within the 30-day timeframe
- In the event of a refusal, you have the right to appeal
Cost
A five-year Permit Fee is paid by the business to cover the cost of fabricating and maintaining the Logo Sign panel showing their name. Logo Sign fees may vary in Municipalities that choose to administer logo signs within their community.
